The former business structure obviously benefitted core business and flagship development, and probably helped streamline integration into those flagship products. But there is a lot of value hidden in the smaller products, too. Since a Mathcad user…

First off, I would like to thank all the kind-hearted Pro/ENGINEER Wildfire 1.0 users who responded to my earlier post and took the trouble of testing our Pro/ENGINEER Wildfire 1.0 plug-in DLL's. The first to respond was someone from PTC UK. We are…

PTC Forms Business Units

A PTC Partner newsletter alerted me to the news that PTC has formed separate business units for its product lines. Previously PTC has just two primary product lines - Pro/ENGINEER and Windchill. Over the years, due to acquisitions and internal growth, its product lines have dramatically increased. Next year they will have a total of eight major product lines:

  1. Pro/ENGINEER

  2. Windchill

  3. CoCreate

  4. Arbortext

  5. Mathcad

  6. ProductView

  7. SharePoint/SP

Pro/ENGINEER and Direct Modeling

Of late I have been reading some reviews in the media of Pro/ENGINEER Wildfire 5.0 which list "direct modeling" as one of its new features. In an earlier post titled "PTC Joins the Direct Modeling Bandwagon" I mentioned that while PTC was working on a direct modeling solution for Pro/ENGINEER, it would not be shipping with Wildfire 5.0 because it was not ready yet. Instead PTC would ship it with Wildfire 6.0. In fact, when I was at the P… Continue

SYCODE Launches 14 Pro/ENGINEER Wildfire Plug-ins

First off, I would like to thank all the kind-hearted Pro/ENGINEER Wildfire 1.0 users who responded to my earlier post and took the trouble of testing our Pro/ENGINEER Wildfire 1.0 plug-in DLL's. The first to respond was someone from PTC UK.

We are done with our final testing and today we released our first batch of Pro/ENGINEER plug-ins. This batch contains 14 data exchange plug-ins (8 import and 6 export). They have been tested to wor… Continue

Wanted - Kind-Hearted Pro/ENGINEER Wildfire 1.0 User

At SYCODE, we are doing the final testing of our Pro/ENGINEER data exchange plug-ins. I have Pro/ENGINEER Wildfire 1.0 (actually it was called just Wildfire), 2.0, 3.0, 4.0 and 5.0 Preproduction on my development and testing computers in office. My problem is that for some weird reason Wildfire 1.0 crashes on startup. I am trying to resolve this issue with PTC technical support. I just spent two and a half hours on the phone with a PTC technical support engineer. I gave him control over my compu… Continue

Apparently it is working differently for me, maybe it is because I am using Firefox 3.0.4, I will test it in IE and see if I get different results.

Deelip, the sign Out links do not appear to be working, since any user in the company can log in to my machine I would like to have a way to disconnect from the web-site in order to make sure other users cannot log-in as me.

Thanks for the opportunity to be part of this community, B.
